History of Clark Motor Co.

Started in Andover, Massachusetts in 1950 by Robert G. Barenboim and his brother-in-law, Irving M. Leoff, as a Chrysler-Plymouth dealer, they added the Willy’s Jeep franchise, as well as Triumph Motors Cars to compliment their product line. In 1978, Thomas S. Barenboim, son of Robert, entered the family business in their Lawrence, MA location with Chrysler-Plymouth.

Tom purchased the business in 1984 and moved to Methuen, MA at the current Pelham Street location. In 1995 Tom added the Jeep franchise, which is now owned by The Chrysler Corporation. In 2007, Tom bought the assets from a local Dodge point and Clark has Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge in a single location. Clark Chrysler Jeep Dodge is located just off Route 93 (exit 47) on Pelham Street in Methuen, Massachusetts.
